Ingredients:
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 dash cayenne pepper
- 2-3/4 cup plain flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1 cup margarine softened
- 3 ounce Roquefort cheese (bleu cheese may be substituted)
- 6 ounce sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Directions:
In a food processor or electric mixer, combine the Cheddar cheese and the Roquefort cheese until blended. Add the margarine, seasoning salt, flour, and cayenne pepper; blend to mix. Then mix in the pecans. Place the dough on waxed paper, and roll into a long roll about a diameter of a silver dollar. Wrap the roll in a waxed paper, and refrigerate for 2 hours. Preheat over to 375 degrees. Using an electric knife, slice the chilled roll into thin slices or francs. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 36 servings.
