Feta Spinach Salad with Pecans

Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon dried basil, crumbled
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup olive oil Dressing none
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 4 ounces of crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 medium red onion, sliced thin in rings
- 1 small avocado, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 bunch of tender, fresh spinach
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 large clove of garlic, minced and crushed
Directions:
Wash spinach very carefully and remove large stems; drain until completely dry. Tear spinach into bite-size pieces and put it into a large bowl. Make the dressing by blending all of the dressing ingredients in a food processor or blender. Add all remaining ingredients to the spinach, and pour on the desired amount of dressing. Toss several times to mix well before serving.
